An enjoyable read in an intriguing world, but be aware this is only the beginning...Takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where the horrible stuff has already happened. In fact, much of the conflicts are in the past, from the kidnapping of children to the fights between siblings. This book reads much like a prologue to larger things to come. I couldn't help but be drawn in because the world is populated by so many honorable characters trying not only to survive, but also live, love, and laugh. A delightful read.
