Excellent start to a series. Nicely complex plot. Couldn't wait to read more. Unique characters and situations. However, I do NOT recommend reading this book until the author finishes book three. As of right now, that appears to be never. Don't get invested in these interesting characters and this strange world if you don't have to, not when there may never be an ending.
