Old Twentieth - Joe Haldeman One of those "reality is what you make of it" science fiction novels. Rather boring for most of the story... mundane. But then you get to the end and it's absolutely mind-blowing. Everything you thought you knew turns out to be false. The ending more than makes up for a boring beginning and middle.
