The Warded Man

The Warded Man - Peter V. Brett Suggested more promise than it actually provided. Story could have been really amazing, and in some areas it was. But a lot of other areas just made me feel dirty and didn't seem completely necessary. I suppose these scenes did a good job showing the exploitation of a masculine "church" and its ability to denigrate women, but that didn't make it an enjoyable read.

Warning to readers: There's a rape scene described from the bystander's POV.
